Dropbox vs. Evernote

When given the choice to explore either Dropbox or Evernote and I decided to go with Dropbox.  I do not have much experience with either but I have heard of Dropbox more often than Evernote.  To start out I went to dropbox.com and logged in with my Gmail mail account.  From there I proceeded to look through each of the tabs on the left side of the page, seeing what each one contained and was for.  After looking through all of the different tabs I specifically noted the photos and sharing tabs.
I know my family and I have always sent all kinds of photos/videos/etc. back and forth and this seems like it would be a great way to do this.  My brother and I have always used email or USB devices to share music, pictures, and documents but by using Dropbox we can skip the need of a USB device.  It can also make backing up my files easier too.
I can also use this in my future classroom because I can use this to backup some of my files as well as share them with my students and their parents. I can specifically set up a "team" for sharing and this could be different student's, parent's, or even coworker's teams. After these teams are created I can then upload the files that pertain to them so that they can have all of the information that they need.
I like how it connects to my google account because that way the people that I am already friends with in there are easy to contact and share files with. I also like that there is about 2.5 GB of space open to store and share things.  Everything that is placed in Dropbox is secured and protected against hackers and this means that any material could be placed here and would not necessarily violate any privacy laws.  It will be useful in my future classroom and work space.
