iThought

When I first opened iThought I was not exactly sure what to do but after clicking around on some of the different icons, I realized that you could add new bubbles, bullet (pearl) points, and category lines.  It was easy enough to understand exactly what this app was for.  This could be used for all different aged students.
After looking around and investigating iThought, I found it to be a very useful tool when teaching students to create a story map.  The students can us this to outline a story or paper that they may be writing.  The students can place their topic in the middle and expand the web into different areas such as main idea, theme, plot, etc.  Once students finish their story mapping they can email it to their teacher, parent, or themselves for further editing.  If they send it to the teacher, they can then open it and leave the student comments on their work and given them things to be able to fix/change which is a form of feedback that can be useful in your teaching career as well as your student's education.

  1. Yes, it is a mind-mapping app. You have exactly the right idea. :-)
