Pages App

While completing the tablet assignment number one I looked at the Pages tutorial located on YouTube and played around on the actual app.  This app is extremely similar to Microsoft Word by providing different template forms to choose from, also including a blank template that you can type and create what you need.  It also includes the ability to insert a picture directly from your camera roll/saved pictures.  Charts or graphs can be placed and created in the document also.  The top of the screen in this app has the margin ruler and allows you to change the font, color, and size of the text as well as bold, italics, and underline different text. One thing that is not the same is that this app does not require you to save every two minutes, it automatically saves the document for you. Another thing that is handy is that this app auto corrects any words typed which can help increase your typing speed and spelling accuracy.   The iPad can help insert images, charts, and graphs, quicker and easier due to the better accessibility of the correct buttons.  All documents saved on the iPad automatically get uploaded to the cloud for a safe backup system which means it can be pulled off of the cloud on any device.  A negative about the app is that is it is a smaller screen and the keyboard takes up half of the page which can make writing larger papers on it more difficult.
